A winning approach to financing your early stage business

For any start-up, getting the first sale is a big milestone. Your chances of getting funding also dramatically increases when a company is aleady producing revenue - however small.

At this two-hour seminar learn highly practical bootstrapping approaches to securing sales for your business with little or no capital.

How do you market a start-up with little or no cash.

What is bootstapping? How do you go about bootstrapping sales? How do you secure your first, second, third customers with limited resources? How do you forecast sales and build a credible bootstapped marketing plan? How do you develop a sales system? Should you use sales reps? When is the right time to approach investors and banks? If at all? How do you make sure potential investors take note of your business plan? What are the common errors?

Find out at this exclusive workshop

To hear the answer to these questions and more, you are invited to an exclusive two-hour seminar in partnership with The British Library sponsored by HSBC, Wingrave Yeats and British Angel Capital Ltd.  We’ll explore the ways you can launch your start-up with little or no capital and how many successful companies have followed the same path.

Expert speakers

Paul Grant founder of The Funding Game

Paul knows what it’s like to be on both sides of the funding fence. As an entrepreneur he raised funds for his own business, securing capital from business angels, bankers, family and friends, and even a government grant.

After seven years of trading he exited his business in 2003 and was invited to join a private equity company, Capital Partners, eventually heading up the business angel division. Here he had access to nearly 5,000 angel investors and reviewed more than 1,000 business plans every year.

During this time Paul learnt a lot about why so many businesses fail to secure the funding they need in the start-up and growth phases. Paul has met with many investors, bankers, and venture capitalists over the years and in the course of his work has uncovered what they are really looking for.

More importantly, Paul has developed an approach to raising capital that works. He is keen to share with you what he has learnt as an entrepreneur and as an industry insider.

Paul is currently an associate director of BA Capital and Bergstrom Capital and is a regular speaker at events on the subject of raising capital.
